Preserve the legacies and history of the 623 men victimized in the USPHS Syphilis Study
Foster social justice, education and public health
1. Complete Memorial and Inspiration Garden
Accept an architectural design and landscape plan
Obtain quotes to develop the design
Establish a budget
Develop fundraising plans (membership, Tuskegee University, City of Tuskegee, Macon County, Director of the Lynching Museum in Montgomery, and Auburn University
2. Increase Membership
Develop an intensive outreach of descendants and sympathetic supporters of VFOFLF
Explore methods to locate and identify descendants (Henry Lewis Gates)
3. Complete Research Project; The Untold Story
4. Determine the future of VFOFLF over the next 5 years
Establish a think tank of key individuals from different contingencies
5. Participate and present in venues as to educating and heightening awareness of the Tuskegee USPHS Study in Macon County
Involvement with local and civic community forums
6. Scholarship
Create an endowment program
Expand the Annual Scholarship Banquet
Increase the scholarship grants given out each year
